Tahlequah

After learning of Oklahoma's recently passed financial literacy mandates for high school students, members of our team developed a four day curriculum that covered each of the fourteen mandates required.  The team crafted lesson plans to teach students about gambling, charitable giving, loans, saving, investing, resume building, and capital markets.   It was an incredibly successful week in which Drury SIFE taught over 150 students at Sequoyah High School located in Tahlequah, OK the basics of personal finance through classroom lectures and interactive learning activities.  The week capped with a completely Drury SIFE developed Stock Market Simulation that allowed students to put their new found knowledge to use in a mock stock exchange.
