Choice & Chance
Choice and Chance is an educational tool designed to teach teenagers the basics of personal finance and other important economic concepts. The educational aspects are integrated within the framework of a board game to quickly attract students’ interest and to provide them with a relaxed setting for learning.
Choice and Chance simulates a time period of four years after high school graduation. Students are challenged to choose their post-high school path between directly going to work, attending a two-year college, and applying for a four-year college. Throughout the game, students will be exposed to real-life financial situations and encouraged to make their own decisions. They will also learn to balance incomes and expenses, to manage a personal savings account, and even to make some financial investments!
The game has the endorsement of the Missouri Council of Economic Education for satisfying the financial literacy curriculum of high school education. For more information please visit our website or email us at choiceandchance@gmail.com.
